Antioch Kids is dedicated to maintaining a safe and loving environment for children where the Bible is taught and kids learn about Jesus.
We place a high priority on our children’s program at Antioch because we believe kids are an important part of the church. We do not simply want to entertain kids so parents can “go to church”. We hope to instill knowledge of the Lord! We pray that this will lead to a passion for Jesus that will give kids direction through the rest of their lives. And, of course, we hope to have lots of fun along the way!
We do this by being kid targeted. We want to do the kind of things that kids really enjoy. We do this by placing a high priority on safety. The world is a scary place for kids, and we take strategic steps to keep Antioch Kids safe. We do this by being relevant. Our goal is to creatively teach the Bible so kids “get it” rather than “endure it”. We do this by equipping parents as well as teaching children. Together, parents and the church, we can make a great team!
We invite you to check your child into Antioch Kids — a safe, fun, Bible-centered environment for children on Sunday mornings. We hope to see you Sunday!
Babies: We love babies! We love them when they're teeny tiny and asleep. We love them when they start to scoot around. And we love them as they learn to play! At such a young age, we aim to help you feel comfortable leaving your baby in our care. Whatever we can do to aid in the transition is our privilege.
We also offer a nursing mom's area for the convenience of the new mom! Please enjoy the private area which allows you to care for your child and still hear the main service. This area can be located in the auditorium lobby.
Toddlers: When children transition from the immobile stage of observing their environment to the mobile stage of exploring it, interacting with others, and communicating, we are thrilled to welcome them to the next class in Antioch Kids! We recognize a toddler's ability to learn about our big and loving God as they interact with friends, simple activities, and fun worship and offer separate learning environments for one-year-olds and two-year-olds. Children are never too young to begin learning about their amazing God!
Preschool: Every preschooler is a unique and special gift from God, full of energy and curiosity. Preschoolers are at a crucial age where they soak up everything like sponges. We see this as a great opportunity to teach a child about God’s big story! We provide a safe, fun, loving, and comfortable place for preschoolers to play and learn about God's love. We provide lots of hands-on activities for your child to participate in which reinforce the lesson that is taught.
Elementary: We love the energy and enthusiasm that God gives elementary kids! It is at this age that a child becomes curious about their own set of beliefs. Their curiosity and ability to develop a foundational theology, as well as build meaningful and fun friendships, is what we strive to influence. We also help develop practical faith skills such as an ability to navigate the Bible, an understanding of worship, and developing a heart of service.
Special Needs: We happily welcome children of all abilities. We believe that children with special needs are created in the image of God and bear a unique expression of God, and look forward to getting to know this child. Our approach is to offer the assistance of a one-on-one buddy and quiet room, if needed. At Antioch, we are committed to learning how we can better serve persons with disabilities of all ages, as well as their families.
If you have a child with special needs, please contact us by emailing email@example.com so we can best serve you and your family. The more information you can give us, the better we can care for your child!
At Antioch Kids, we are excited to teach kids how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture and is relevant today. Our hope is that kids will gain a clear understanding of the entire gospel story—how all of Scripture points to the gospel of Jesus. To do this, we use a curriculum called The Gospel Project®— a chronological, Christ-centered Bible study for kids that examines how all Scripture leads us to Jesus. Over the course of three years, kids ages two-years-old through fifth grade will journey from Genesis to Revelation and discover how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture and still continues to unfold today.
Blog: Check out the Antioch Kids blog to discover what your child is learning on Sunday mornings, to find details about upcoming events, and to utilize resources designed to equip you to continue teaching your child about Gods great love throughout the week!
Justice Kids: Kids spend a lot more time with family than they do at church. You, the parent, have a greater chance of influencing the way your child thinks, the things they value, and the ways they use their energy. This website is packed full of fun, easy, and purposeful activities for kids and adults to do together. Make sure to check out the Family Activities and Kid Bio’s! We think you and your kids will especially enjoy these!
The Gospel Project App: Parents are key to building spiritual foundations in their kids. The Gospel Project for Kids Family App enables parents to reinforce each week’s Bible story at home. Each quarter, the app provides a unit introduction and a five-day calendar filled with simple family activities and links to Bible story and discussion starter videos, key passage songs, and fun games. If kids are sick or traveling, parents can use the app at home so their kids won’t miss a thing!
