Many thanks to all of you who helped make this year's Apologetics Conference a huge success!  It is amazing to see what God can do when a group of people gathers together seeking to deepen their knowledge of him.

Our goal for the conference's first year was to have 300 people attend.  But when it was all said and done there was almost 400 people who came throughout Friday and Saturday to listen to teaching on the intelligent and rational defense of the Christian faith.

The highlight of the conference for many people was JP Moreland's challenge to uphold a Christian worldview and reasons to believe in the God of the Bible.  Many people were also impacted by Scott Rae's discussion on stem cell research, while Craig Hazen's teaching on evidences for the resurrection of Christ sharpened the beliefs of others.  Kilns College Instructors, Mike Caba and Rick Gerhardt also drew large audiences with compelling teachings on archaeology (Mike) and scientific naturalism (Rick).
 
There is no greater reward than seeing people's lives impacted for Christ when they really grab hold of the Truth of Christianity.  One such instance came on Saturday when a mother and her high school daughter shared how excited they were to have a conference of this type right here in Central Oregon.  It was almost with a renewed sense of vigor that they could find instruction on the logical development for the reasons for the faith, and delivered in such a way that was relevant to current situations.  Surprisingly, the daughter couldn't wait for the evening session so she could bring some of her non-Christian friends.  And that was what the whole conference was about, an opportunity for others to be moved deeper into their knowledge of Christ, to be encouraged, and spurred on to tell others.
