ARTBook |
July 20th was Antioch’s 3rd Art Sunday. There was a variety of art displayed throughout the hallway of Summit High, including paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry and much more. Art Sunday’s are Sundays committed to the arts. It is prevalent in all we do from the music to the message, to on stage painting and even and often times spilling into the children’s area as well. All of the proceeds from sold art goes to benefit
different ministries within Antioch. All of the money raised goes to further projects like the Art Book, which was released for the first time yesterday. Filled with 188 pages of artwork by people from not only Antioch but the community as well it is sure to cause excitement for any viewer.
To celebrate the release of the Art Book a reception took place in the evening at the Kilns Bookstore. There were Art Books for sale, and a some of the artists who contributed to the book spoke about their inspiration behind their pieces of work. There was even a performance of two songs contributed to the book. It was a great time of celebration for the hard work and effort of so many people and the countless hours they put into the development and publication of the book! We look forward to the future of the arts ministry and look forward to continuing to support those involved in the arts at Antioch.
