FamilyCamp2008 |
This year we had 155 people come out for Antioch's 2nd Annual Family Camp at Camp Tadmor! Campers enjoyed paintball, night games, campfires and the traditional blobbing contest.
Last year Antioch launched the first ever Family Camp and this year the tradition carried on! The ambition of Family camp is to connect families in Antioch and get to know one another through tons of crazy fun activities like paintball, a giant swing, volleyball, night games, team competition, Olympic tryouts, basketball, and of course the biggest event—the heavily anticipated Blob contest.
Some of the highlights this year were the interns championing the Battle of the Air Bands, the epic night games, marshmallows over the fire on Saturday night, Aaron Wells’ interactive and highly active telling of David and Goliath, and the Kipperton Awards (because Kip Jones is the essence of any camp.)
A huge thank you goes out to Brandon Reynolds, Nicole Bloyer, and the interns who brainstormed, prepared, and pulled off an amazing Family Camp 08!
Ask anybody who attended if you should go next year and you'll get the same response all around: join the tradition. The memories are priceless.
