It’s official: Antioch Church of Bend is here! On October 15, we had the first actual Sunday morning Antioch meeting at Regal Cinemas’ Old Mill 16.  Coffee was provided by our very own donated espresso machine that is actually installed at the Theatre.  We are also fortunate to have several Starbucks employees donating their time to make our favorite lattes and mochas!   For those who needed a bagel or scone with their coffee, our food table was loaded with options.  A welcome table was set up with an assortment of information on Antioch.  There was a Welcome Bag for visitors and books for sale for the upcoming Antioch History Book Club. 

Our Children’s Church is fortunate enough to be held in the Working Wonders Children’s Museum.  If you have never been to the museum, your children are in for a real treat.  There are various areas set up for active learning including a supermarket, play veterinary clinic, outdoor sports and construction rooms.  All of this is right at your children’s fingertips.

The Nursery was just down the hall from the main service and looked fantastic.  It was Disneyland for babies!  Mom's were also spoiled by the designated theatre set up with plenty of things to pamper them as they cared for their little one.

The service was a huge success… Worship was inspiring and we are expecting great things to come.  Ken talked about our need for significance and the part we all play in God’s story.  He even showed a Jim Carey clip from Ace Ventura.

Following the meeting, there was a "Connecting Lunch" at the Mitchell’s house.  Kim Hobbs, our favorite local culinary student, made pizzas from scratch that were out of this world!  Overall, the lunch was a great opportunity for new people to meet the staff and find out more about the various groups within Antioch.
