Q. When are the informational meetings?
A. The informational meetings are held once a quarter at Justin’s House. These are open to any interested persons in the production/ tech/ worship ministries.

Q. What instruments do we need for worship?
A. Drums, percussion, bass, keys (piano, keyboard), violin, cello, and electric guitar. We will add others on an as needed basis, but these are the main ones.

Q. When are the actual auditions?
A. They are held the 2nd Thursday of May and September every year. You MUST contact Justin Lavik to schedule an audition time prior to auditioning.

Q. How long will each audition last?
A. 15 Minutes

Q. What songs will I audition with and where I can hear them?
A. Mighty to Save and Hosanna (Christy Nockels Version). The song charts and mp3s are both available online at www.planningcenteronline.com

Q. Do I have to attend Antioch regularly to audition?
A. Yes

Q. Do singers and/or musicians get paid at Antioch?
A. No.

Q. How many worship ministries are there at Antioch?
A. Currently there are six worship ministries: Childrens Music, High School, The Realm (College), Men’s ministry, Women’s ministry, and Sunday Mornings.

Q. Do I get to audition for a specific ministry?
A. You can certainly request which ministry you would like to be a part of, but in the end, we will prayerfully place you where we feel you’re best suited and hopefully you’re part of that decision as well.

Q. Would I be on a rotation or would I have to be at every service each weekend?
A. You would be on a rotation, depending on the ministry in which you are placed, at least once a month serving in every service for that weekend. We ask for a minimum commitment of 4 months.

Q. Will the audition be like American Idol?
A. Not at all. First of all, 2 or 3 people including myself will be playing instruments and singing with you. Secondly, we want to see you succeed in your pursuit of leading others in worship. That being said, we will do our best to give constructive (not destructive) criticism hopefully helping you to see your gifts more clearly and helping you to serve as effectively as possible!

Q. When will I find out if I made the audition?
A. We will make the decision on the Thursday after your audition and will call you on that Thursday to inform you of the decision.
