About

The Reconciliation of All Things

For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Colossians 1:19-20

Vision

We are a people formed by the story of a God who is on a mission to make all things new, including us!  As those who are in Christ, we are not only the recipients of this mission but also called to be participants in it.  We inhabit this world as visitors from the future, seeking to live as a sneak peak of God’s coming kingdom on earth – a kingdom marked by peace, love, justice, and hope – as we join God in the reconciliation of all things.

Mission

To partner with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the formation of disciples who are being restored to God, themselves and one another, and joining God on his mission in our city, around the world, and with the rest of creation.

Practices

As we seek to follow Jesus and join his mission of reconciliation, we are devoted to a set of biblical practices that turn our lives both toward the grace of God and toward the world he loves.

As those called to reconciliation with God, we are moved from distraction to presence through the practice of abiding in Christ.

About our Logo

The Antioch logo is the symbol of our vision: The Reconciliation of All Things.

Cross

Jesus is at the center of everything we are, love, and do.

Circle

A symbol of wholeness and completion, the circle represents the expansive nature of God’s love for the whole world.

Arrows

The cross is formed by two center-pointing arrows focusing us on Christ and inviting us, as those who are in him, to join him on his mission.

Beliefs

We hold to the historic teachings of Christian orthodoxy as articulated in the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed.  We also subscribe to recent summaries of Christian doctrine as formulated in the Langham Statement of Faith and the Lausanne Covenant.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth;
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy, catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
